Purpose of the workshop directory

Garfind helps drivers discover and compare independent automotive workshops. A listing is informational and does not by itself show endorsement, certification, partnership or guaranteed service quality.

Sources of workshop information

Information may be supplied by a workshop, a user or Garfind research, or obtained from public and lawfully accessible business sources. Sources may be combined to improve completeness and accuracy.

Publicly available information

Business names, addresses, public phone numbers, websites, opening information and service descriptions may be listed where lawful and relevant. Public availability does not remove privacy or intellectual-property rights, and correction requests are reviewed.

Submitting a workshop

The Submit a workshop page explains the requested format. Submission does not guarantee publication. Garfind may verify the business, request clarification or decline incomplete or unsuitable information.

Who may submit information

Owners, authorised representatives, customers and other people with reliable knowledge may suggest factual information. A submitter must not claim to own or represent a workshop unless that is true.

Required accuracy

Submitters must provide information they reasonably believe is current and correct. False, misleading, defamatory, promotional or manipulated information is prohibited.

Editing and moderation

Garfind may correct spelling, formatting, categories, coordinates and duplicate data; remove unsupported claims; or adapt a submission to the directory structure. Material factual changes may be checked against reliable sources.

Duplicate listings

Records that refer to the same business or location may be merged. Reviews and identifiers may be handled separately where needed to preserve integrity and prevent manipulation.

Claiming or correcting a listing

A business owner or other informed person may request a correction by emailing [email protected]. Include the listing URL, the incorrect field, the proposed correction and a reliable way to verify it. Garfind may ask for proportionate evidence of authority for sensitive changes.

Requesting removal

A removal request should identify the listing and reason. Garfind considers closure, duplication, unlawful content, privacy rights and the public interest in accurate business information. A request does not automatically require removal where continued publication is lawful, but inaccurate data will be corrected where appropriate.

Photos, logos and trademarks

Only submit photos, logos or other material that you are entitled to provide. Trademarks identify their owners and do not imply affiliation with Garfind. Rights holders may report unauthorised material.

Prohibited submissions

Do not upload content without rights, impersonate a business, publish private personal details, submit malware, manipulate reviews, include discriminatory or illegal content, or use the process for harassment or competitive sabotage.

No guarantee of publication

Garfind may reject, delay, edit, merge, unpublish or remove a listing to protect quality, users and legal compliance. Garfind does not promise a particular ranking, category, description or publication period.
