What cookies are
Cookies are small text values stored by a browser. They can remember choices, support security and, with permission, measure how a website is used. Similar browser storage may perform related functions.
How Garfind uses cookies
Garfind uses necessary first-party cookies for consent choices, country preferences and review-abuse prevention. Optional Google Analytics cookies are used only after Analytics permission. Garfind does not currently load a separate marketing tag merely because the Marketing option is displayed.

Analytics cookies
After Analytics permission, Google Analytics may set first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish browser instances and sessions. Their lifetime depends on Google Analytics settings and may be up to two years. Garfind removes known Analytics cookies when permission is withdrawn, subject to browser and domain limitations.
Marketing cookies
Garfind records whether you grant or deny Marketing storage so that compatible advertising services remain denied unless enabled. At the effective date, the frontend code does not load a separate marketing integration. If that changes, this policy and the consent interface will be updated before such storage is used.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics is an external analytics service. Garfind uses a basic consent approach: its script is not loaded until Analytics permission is granted. It is configured with IP anonymisation. We do not publish the measurement identifier in this policy because it is an implementation detail that may change.
Your consent choices
The banner offers acceptance, rejection of non-essential storage and category customisation. Necessary storage remains active because it supports requested operation and security. Analytics and Marketing choices are independent.
Changing or withdrawing consent
Open Cookie Settings in the footer to change your choices. Withdrawal prevents future optional storage and disables the Analytics integration. You can also clear cookies in browser settings; the banner may then ask again.
Cookie duration
The table gives intended maximum periods. A cookie may disappear earlier if you clear it, use private browsing, change a choice or the browser removes storage. Third-party service settings may also affect duration.
Updates to this Cookie Policy
We update this page when cookies, providers, purposes or retention periods change. The version and effective date indicate the current policy.
