Biltec on Smedjegatan in Växjö was started in 1994 by Jörgen Lundgren and has over thirty years behind it. The workshop works on all makes, but SAAB has always been its speciality — something that has grown in importance since the marque ceased production, as SAAB owners increasingly struggle to find workshops with the right experience. Beyond that it focuses on Volvo, Audi and Volkswagen, with mechanics carrying over eighteen years of franchised dealer experience. In spring 2014 it was certified as an accredited Autoexperten workshop, and it is approved under the Godkänd Bilverkstad quality system with independent third-party auditing. Servicing follows the manufacturers' recommendations and parts carry up to three years' warranty. A courtesy car is available if requested when booking, and the Autoexperten card allows interest-free instalments. A service includes twelve months of Autoexperten Assistans breakdown cover. The workshop has an agreement with a certified recycling company for waste products and, for anti-money-laundering reasons, does not accept cash above 20,000 kronor.
