Vännäs Bilverkstad was started in 1967 by Folke Klasson and Sten Rönnkvist in a basement garage. Since 2000 it has been run by Patrik and Tomas Klasson, and the premises were extended in 2010. It now has eleven employees and is an authorised MECA workshop in Vännäs, some thirty kilometres west of Umeå. It services all makes and also takes light commercials, vans, trailers and motorhomes — though not the living quarters of a motorhome. The workshop is electric and hybrid certified and an approved Godkänd Bilverkstad, and it may clear roadworthiness test failures. More specific services include alcohol interlocks, automatic transmission fluid flushing, electronic fault finding and stone chip repair. Tyre hotel storage and tyre service are part of the range. A courtesy or hire car is available, and a key drop lets you leave the car outside opening hours. Prices for fixed-price services are shown directly when booking online.
