Carspect Linköping Tornby is on Gillbergagatan in Tornby, the industrial and retail district north of Linköping between the railway and the E4. The station tests cars, light commercials, trailers and motorcycles, and beyond the standard roadworthiness test it carries out re-tests, registration inspections and condition checks ahead of a used purchase. One important limit: the door height is low and the station cannot take vehicles over three metres — anyone with a motorhome or a high-roof van needs to go elsewhere. Booking is through the chain's online system and drop-in is offered subject to available time, though registration inspections must be booked through customer service. Carspect has over 120 stations nationally and a second site in Linköping at Mjärdevi. Members of the Swedish motorcyclists' association get thirty kronor off on production of a membership card.
