Walters Bildelar in Skogstorp outside Falkenberg was founded in 1966 by Walter Persson and taken over by his sons Christer and Kenneth when he retired in 1988. The company now trades as Autocirc Walters Bildelar and employs 27 people. It is an authorised dismantler: vehicles are received, drained of oils, fluids and other environmentally hazardous substances, and stripped for reuse and recycling. Because the site is authorised by the county administrative board it can deregister the vehicle with the transport agency and issue a certificate of destruction — something only authorised sites may do, and the reason not to hand the car to anyone else. The owner needs registration document part 2 and photo ID; if someone else brings the car in, a signed authorisation is required. The company will collect vehicles anywhere in Halland if the owner cannot deliver them. The other half of the business is used parts sold with a warranty and by mail order, along with tyre sales, fitting and wheel changes. It belongs to Autocirc, a Swedish group that is Europe's largest operator in reusing and extending the life of used car parts. Open Monday to Thursday 07:00–16:00 and Friday 07:00–14:30.
